Toasting good wine and peaks on the Terrace of the Dolomites at Maria Refuge
White, red, rosé and sparkling wines.On October 14th (from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.), the best of Trentino and South Tyrolean wine production will meet in Val di Fassa at "Top Wine 2950", the symposium at Maria Refuge on Sass Pordoi, famous for its terrace at almost 3,000 metres with a 360° view of the Dolomites, a Unesco World Heritage Site. In addition to the wide range of wines presented by about twenty wine cellars, during the day you can also taste the gastronomic proposals, mostly based on local foods such as the products by Pastificio Felicetti, prepared by the expert hands of some representatives of the Cooks' Association of Val di Fassa.
The event is constantly growing thanks to the enthusiasm of the organisers, Società Incremento Turistico Canazei and the Sommeliers of Fassa and Fiemme, who select the participating wineries in order to offer insiders and fans of the 'nectar of Bacchus' a range of remarkable quality. For some years, a winery from other parts of Italy has also been hosted.
Rifugio Maria can be reached in just four minutes by cable car from Pordoi Pass (13 km from Canazei); from the mountain station of the cable car there is a direct access to the panoramic terrace.
